Duties and responsibilities:
Chiropractor treat patients by manually adjusting parts
of the human body, especially the spine. Chiropractors and their patients
believe that the problem with bone and nerve alignment can cause illness and
problems in other parts of the body, a view not widely accepted by allopathic physician
and other traditional medical practitioners.
Chiropractor manipulate their patients spinal columns for
treatment. They may prescribe specific diets or exercises, but not drugs.
Chiropractor cannot perform surgery.
Most chiropractors establish a private practice and some provide
home treatment. Others form a group partnership in clinics or chiropractor
hospitals.
Average salary: $30,000-$100,000
